I'll never forget the morning I realized my daily neck pain was slowly destroying my quality of life.
I was a successful physical therapist, helping others with their pain every day. But ironically, I couldn't fix my own chronic neck issues. The constant aching, the headaches that seemed to come from nowhere, the stiffness that made simple tasks like checking blind spots while driving painful.
I had tried everything in my professional toolkit: traditional physical therapy, expensive massage sessions, prescription muscle relaxers, ergonomic pillows, posture correctors. Some provided temporary relief, but nothing addressed the root cause.
This wasn't supposed to happen to someone like me. I understood anatomy, I knew proper ergonomics, yet here I was—a healthcare professional who couldn't heal herself.
I felt like a fraud. How could I help my patients when I couldn't even eliminate my own neck pain?
